Funded Trading Blog #8: The First Challenge is Done!

Welcome to my Trading Blog, and my quest to become a 6-figure funded prop firm trader, hopefully with FTMO.

This journey starts at the earliest possible beginning point: with an FTMO Free Trial.

Trading Blog #8: Summary of my first challenge

Obviously, it wasn’t quite the result I was hoping for, but it was still a success in terms of avoiding the result I didn’t want.

FTMO Free Trial Completed, eligible for Free Repeat

I completed the free trial with the 200k account at a small profit. A very tiny one, admittedly, but profit is profit, and most importantly, it would have left me eligible for the free repeat. If it had been a real FTMO Challenge, I obviously would’ve lost the entry fee.

When the free trial ended, here’s the automated e-mail from FTMO summarizing my free trial:

We are sending you Account Analysis of your account.

Your trading results in the Free Trial are definitely above average. Disciplined traders are always welcome with us. The Profit Target of the account was not reached this time, but you demonstrated solid risk management skills and good strategy. In the FTMO Challenge, this result will grant you a new opportunity for free.

If you think it’s the right time, consider applying for the full FTMO Challenge. Disciplined traders are always welcome with us. I would also like to remind you that a fee for the FTMO Challenge will be refunded to you with your first profit withdrawal once you become an FTMO Trader. If you are still undecided whether you can meet the Trading Objectives of the FTMO Challenge, you can always set up a new Free Trial in your Client Area.

We’d love to hear your feedback as it will help us improve our services. How was your trading? Why haven’t the Trading Objectives been met? Was the Free Trial beneficial to you? Are you ready for the FTMO Challenge? Every feedback we obtain gives us valuable insight into the quality of our services.

We are looking forward to successful cooperation.

Here are all of my blog posts that relate to this challenge. With the exception of days 5 and 6, there’s one for each trading day:

I said that I will repeat the free trial regardless of whether or not I pass it, and that is still the plan. Patience will pay!
